You can quickly cancel audits that were started by mistake, fall outside the intended scope, or are no longer required—both from the mobile app and the web platform. Canceled audits are stored in the system along with their cancellation reason. This ensures transparency and makes cross-team tracking easier.
What This Feature Provides
Canceling an in-progress audit is not just stopping the process. It also:

How to Cancel an Audit in the Mobile App
Go to the Audits screen: Find the audit with the “In Progress” status.
Open the three-dot menu: Select “Cancel Audit” from the list.
The cancellation screen opens:
You will see:
Audit name
Start date
Status
A field where you can enter the cancellation reason
Enter the cancellation reason: Once you type your explanation, the “Cancel” button becomes active.
Confirm: When you tap the button, the audit switches to the “Canceled” status and you are redirected back to the Audits screen.
How to Cancel an Audit on the Web Platform
Go to the Results screen: All in-progress audits are listed here.
Click the three-dot menu: Open the menu on the row of the audit you want to cancel and select “Cancel”.
Select the cancellation reason:
A window appears listing the available cancellation reasons:
Wrong checklist selected
Scheduling or timing issue
Wrong audit scope
Audit no longer needed
Technical issue / system error
Other
Add details: You must enter a short explanation.
Confirm: Once the cancellation is completed, the audit’s status automatically updates to “Canceled.”
Where to View the Cancellation Reason
On the web platform, when you hover over the “Canceled” status badge in the Results screen:
The detailed explanation you wrote
appear in an information tooltip. This allows managers to quickly understand the reasons behind cancellations and review processes more efficiently.
When Should an Audit Be Canceled?
Cancel the audit when:
The wrong checklist was selected
The wrong location was selected
The facility is closed or inaccessible
Scheduling has changed
The same audit was started twice
The audit scope has changed
Do not cancel the audit when:
You intend to continue the audit later
The audit is almost completed
You want to avoid documenting failed items
Minor notes allow you to proceed without canceling
